The past few weeks have been absolutely crazy, but I don't know if I've ever been felt more support in my life. I just want to say a big thank you to the many churches, college ministries, and individuals who have shown me so much encouragement over the past 2 months. The response to the release of my new album has been overwhelming, and it warms my heart to know that the very prayers the Lord has laid on my heart, are now reaching the ears, (and hopefully the hearts) of my fellow brothers and sisters in faith. I pray that in light of all the excitement that come with the releasing of a new CD that one thing would be pushed to the forefront. Jesus may your name and renown be the desire our souls, and may you forever be the reason we live, move, and have our being.

The CD is finally finished! Huge thanks to Matthew Clark, Andrew Ledbetter and Joy Pierce for their help and participation in this project. I'll be spending the next few weeks working on the album arwork, getting duplicates, and organizing CD release events. It's an exciting time for me and my wife and we are so thankful for the opportunities the Lord has given us. I'm so looking forward to sharing my heart through this project and can't wait for my friends and family to hear it.

We've heard it said over and over that the Lord works in mysterious ways, and while that's such a cheesy phrase it's so true. It seems like whenever I become comfortable in my role in ministry, God opens another door for me to walk through, and that's exactly what's happened in these last few months. After a lot of prayer, me and my wife decided to walk away from Harrisburg and begin helping with a church plant in Lewisburg Mississippi (Desoto County), where I will serve as the worship pastor. We're grateful for the things Harrisburg Baptist has done for us and wish them the best as they journey forward in faith. While I'm beyond nervous about stepping into a pastorate position we're so excited about what the Lord will do with this new body of believers. Our prayer is that we would continually step out of the spotlight and lift high the name of King Jesus.

One week away from our week long songwriters retreat! I've been looking forward to this since we first started talking about it. Next week a group of about 8 or 9 singer songwriters will go to a lake house and spend a week writing songs, praying, and fellowshipping together. The last couple of days we will record the songs we've written in a live worship setting. We are all really excited about this and ask that you guys keep us in your prayers as we search for truth through scripture, creativity, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Working on a new song this week for the upcoming record. I only have words for a chorus but I'm getting there! Here's what I have so far it's all taken from psalm 18.
"Your ways are perfect and your word has proven to be true
You are a shield for all of those who take refuge in You
You have given salvation, support from your right hand
Your gentleness has made me great a victory is at hand"

On top of me leading worship at the FCA and Wesley here at Ole Miss, I've now taken a new position at Harrisburg Baptist Church in Tupelo Ms as the student worship intern. I'm so thankful that the church has brought me on board and invited me into their church family. Not only that, but I'm encouraged by their support of my involvement with the ministries at Ole Miss and with the Orchard in Oxford. I'm looking forward to the things the Lord has in store for us, and how He will choose to move in the coming months.
